Taking Sides
WTTA, MyTV Tampa Bay is proud to broadcast two locally produced public affair programs. The shows rotate in our 10pm Sunday time slot.
Taking Sides™is a half-hour public affairs program produced by Leffler Television, a division of The Leffler Agency and WTTA, MY TV Tampa Bay. The program airs every other Sunday night at 10:00 on MY TV Tampa Bay.
As a topic-driven program Taking Sides™ discusses hot national topics while focusing on local issues that affect the Tampa Bay area. The show's format features an open discussion forum among regular panelists and occasional expert guests. The thirty minute show is moderated by host Roy Cummings, who is the Tampa Tribune's beat writer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
The regular panelists include international business attorney Fred McClure, Christa Watson, Tampa Club membership coordinator, Ed Davis, former C.O.O. of the Chicago Options Exchange, plus Ernest Hooper, columnist for the St. Petersburg Times and TBT.
Regulars also include: Lou Plasencia, a prominent commercial real estate developer, Stephanie Agliano, head of public affairs for TECO, Hill, Ward and Henderson attorney Gina Grimes, Direct Media Strategies founder Jordan Raynor, the social marketing director for the Victory Group, Ashley Intartaglia. Along with political activist Andrew Dorsey and Stetson Law student Andrew Reder.
From the serious to the humorous, Taking Sides™ is always lively in its discussions and every Taking Sides™ program ends with the patented "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" ranking where panelists are asked to take a decisive position on the weekly issue.
